Co-processing
Foil waste is disposed of appropriately and sustainably, converted into energy in cement kilns, contributing to the reduction of waste.
Incineration
Holographic security tapes undergo a rigorous disposal process via incineration, ensuring that no pollutants are released into the environment.
Reprocessing in ribbons
Production leftovers, such as spool ends, are sent to specialized partners, where the polyester is reprocessed into ribbons used to tie packages.
This environmentally responsible approach extends to our customers. We collaborate with partners who reprocess the remaining polyester tapes from their processes, transforming them into packaging tie-down ribbons. The entire process is managed efficiently, with negotiations made directly with the partner.

At Crown do Brasil, we are extremely proud to introduce GreenFoil, a revolutionary technology that not only boosts productivity but also decreases the environmental impact of foil waste.
An Eco-Friendly Alternative
GreenFoil represents an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional foil lines. GreenFoil material is notable for its thinness, measuring just 11 microns thick for the UC75 and SP97 lines, and 16 microns for the MX50 line.
This distinctive feature of GreenFoil offers numerous advantages over conventional lines. Its thinner material allows more material to be accommodated on rolls with reduced diameters, resulting in significant economic benefits. These include more efficient conveying, increased productivity and a notable reduction in material volume and weight.

To fulfill our commitments, we are constantly looking for ways to reduce the use of virgin plastic in our foils.
With this idea in mind, our suppliers have been seeking several innovations to develop new products, such as:
• Foil in a thinner Polyester (PET).
• Foil in recycled plastic (PCR).
